"I was quite disappointed with this show, but I hate to say it. For the price of my ticket, I expected more than a 70-minute performance. When Mr. Black Country, New Road left the stage at 9:40, I was sure it was for an intermission. Then the lights came up, and the recorded music started, so we all knew it was over. I would usually enjoy Christmas music, but half of the show was that, leaving only about a half-hour for his other music, which took some of the enjoyment out of the overall experience for me. The opening act was not a good fit for this show. The Mentalist is a fine performer, but having no opening act might have allowed more time for the headliner, who I had paid a great deal of money to see. There were also some obvious problems with Mr. Black Country, New Road's sound equipment that seemed to be distracting him."
